Art Photos from the kitchen, however not from exclusive menus… Have you ever noticed how beautifully some Glass noodles in back light can appear? How impressive some simple red onion on the chopping board, how harmonic and calming, yet abstract, a water drop on the table can be? The idea for the series Wonder from My Kitchen was born back in ’92. The first serious attempts for the pictures in the series are however from 2000. Their best period is ’02 and ’03, when I shot up to 9 films a 36 pictures a week. For the time being it seems however that I need a new kitchen! You can see here how very concrete objects can be turned into abstractions. One should solely come close enough. It sounds almost philosophical… As mentioned, the pictures here are all honest: no altering filters, merely close-up lenses.
